Hit up a local lake in north Georgia last weekend, targeting some bass. The weather was pretty nice, sunny but not too hot, and the water was actually clearer than I expected for this time of year. I started off with a green pumpkin Senko, which usually does the trick. Had a few bites but lost a decent one at the boat — my knot must've slipped or something, ugh. Fished with my buddy who was throwing some topwater frogs but no luck for him. We ended up with just a couple small ones, but hey, at least we weren’t skunked! How’s everyone else doing? Are the fish biting in your neck of the woods?

Sounds like my weekend in Tennessee. Hot day, water low and clear. The only thing that worked for me was a drop-shot with a little finesse worm. My son hooked the biggest one of the day and of course made sure I heard about it the whole drive home.

Try using an o-ring and wacky rigging, seems to keep 'em hooked better.
