Do you guys think this rifle is a better purchase than the Remington 700?

It depends. when was the 700 made?

As noted the last few years of Rem production were not good.The RAR serial no. prefix guns.

The older 700s were fine and good shooters. The new Rem Arms 700s I've seen or bought were very nice. Much better receiver machining than even the older 700s. Problem at the moment is finding them. Their move to a Lagrange has been a challenge it seems. Most of the new york folks did not relocate apparently. I brought several of the new ones in sds configuration, as well as, receivers. The rifles shot Very well.

I'm a huge 700 fan, but honestly the Begara is a better buy today. Better trigger and some upgraded features on a 700 action copy.
