Folding or fixed?

In the world of knives, there are those who are loyal to fixed blades and those who prefer folding ones. Which do you think is more practical for various tasks or environments?

I am split on that. I carry a folder and have since I have been about 10 years old. However, when I go hunting or fishing, nothing like a good fixed blade. Still have my folder, but that will always be in my pocket.

I normally pack a Buck 110 or a Cold Steel SR1 Lite, or when I go to the woods, a timber rattler, they are a surprisingly good blade for a cheap knife! Otherwise, a K-Bar or USAF survival knife.

they have doubled in price since I bought mine, but I was so impressed, I bought 5.

Always a folder no matter what. If I am hunting with a backpack a fixed blade is always among the contents.

Always carry an old Queen trapper in my pocket. In the woods theres always a fixed blade in my pack.
