Folding or fixed?

In the world of knives, there are those who are loyal to fixed blades and those who prefer folding ones. Which do you think is more practical for various tasks or environments?

I am split on that. I carry a folder and have since I have been about 10 years old. However, when I go hunting or fishing, nothing like a good fixed blade. Still have my folder, but that will always be in my pocket.
