With our community growing every day, I’d love to collect some of the shared experiences we have.

For our seasoned owners and collectors, what advice would you offer your younger self when you first began this journey? Share your insights on storage methods, reliable sites, auctions, or anything else you wish you had known sooner.

Buy an extra FAL and G-3. Hoard parts kits.
Two AKs are plenty.
DO NOT SELL that case of SKS or any ammo no matter how broke you are.
Buy an FN-49 or an HK-SL7 when you can and as often as you can.
Don't sell the Garand or the carbine, DUMMY! Sell the stupid RPK, you never shoot it!
Drum mags aren't as cool as they look.
Invest in Mausers; you don't need that other stuff.
That Systema Colt was American-made... DUMMY!

Got a PTR.
Two AK's? Come on! Two Poly's maybe. FEG, Valmet 76, Norinco .223, etc.
Bought a CMP Garrand back in 97 for $600 delivered to my door. That was a good investment.
You should have purchased the Garrand and carbines when a nice Winchester or Inland sold for $300.
Got a couple C-Mags. You are correct.
As you can tell by the photo above, I'm a S&W man. I was issued the S&W 38 M&P in Vietnam and that got me hooked.
