I thought I’d check in and see what everyone’s up to this weekend. I’m planning to smoke a pork shoulder nice and slow on Saturday. I’ve been fine-tuning my rub recipe all summer long :ROFLMAO:

Too cold to grill on my old bones, may have a few custom sandwiches though. I make a baloney bull's eye to die for without the mess of a chili dog. On mine I toast the buns, grill some thick-cut spicy, and caramelize some peppers and onions, brown mustard one side, yellow on the other, and lay on a thick coat of wolf chili, top it with thick cut American cheese and blast it with the torch. serve it with tots, a cold brew and my jalapeno sauce.

Now that there is quite the gourmet sandwich if I ever heard of one. A feast for sure.

It's a round chili dog, LOL. A funny thing is that I pack BBQ and sloppy Joes into hot dog buns for the same reason: less mess and convenience. I have this BEAST of a sandwich, I do in a sliced loaf of French bread, 2 burger patties, bacon, 2 chicken patties, a thin ham slice, American and Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, Greek pepper rings, and a tasty mix of ranch dressing and mayonnaise on top, and 1000 island on the bottom. I call it "the nuclear club sandwich." I miss my teeth, LOL!

Dude! You gave me a great idea for my lunch on Today! I have to go to the store today so.... lol

Let us know how it turns out! the kind of ham you use can make or break it, when in doubt, black forest from the deli!

Man Magus, you are quite the sandwich man! I made some slight changes as in I used Italian bread and nixed the Swiss for Cheddar. The Ham was fresh slices off a Smithfield I made for Xmas day dinner. That was one darn tasty MAN sized sandwich, I can tell you that. Wiped out my appetite for Saturday dinner as I ate it for lunch, but hey, it was quite the meal and no complaints at all to be stuffed on. Thanks for the recipe!

Thanks! I do a mean corned beef stacker too! Lightly brown onions and mushrooms in the grease you fry your canned corned beef in, and put your sauerkraut on first, spoon on the onions and shrooms, I like provolone or Swiss, but you do you, hit it with the torch or nuke it 1 minute and serve on a Dave's everything roll or an onion roll. If you want to hit the full 9 yards, mix part of the leftover grease with an equal amount of Worcestershire sauce and a heaping double spoonful of butter, melt with as much water for a kind of French dip.

Its fun.

Ah the weekend!
Beer-marinated strip steak sandwiches. and southwest pintos.
Stir fry 1lb in its own juices.
1/2 a cup of onion.
1/2 cup of mushrooms.
1/2 cup of chopped bell pepper.
when the veggies have all wilted, heap up the mix and melt in Provolone or Swiss, cover a moment, dip it into a bowl, add more cheese, scoop into a fresh sliced Italian loaf boat.
Sear with the torch
