I finally checked my natural point of aim by closing my eyes, presenting the gun and then opening them. I was consistently off target without realizing it. My stance had built a bad habit over time, so once I corrected it, I stopped having to compensate and my shooting became more consistent.

Samie, which way were you off target? I had both of my hips replaced and both times it shifted my natural point of aim to the right. I had to move my feet slightly right foot forward a tad, and it brought my aim back. My hips being changed took both feet equal when pointing forward to left foot a tad bit more forward. I didn't even notice it.

Doing those checks for your natural point of aim can feel a bit awkward even embarrassing sometimes, but they're absolutely necessary. Just closing your eyes and presenting the gun, that's how you really see what your stance might have been trying to hide from you.

Those natural point of aim checks are always a bit embarrassing, but absolutely necessary. You close your eyes, present your weapon, then open them up and you realize your stance has been totally lying to you for months.
