Hey you AR7 lovers! I found a nifty little attachment that allows some AR parts to change out the old-fashioned stock and such and bring it up to a bit more modern little shooter. I grabbed some 15 round mags to go along with the new parts as well. It was a fun little shooter before now it is more fun than a few Beagles and a jar of peanut butter!

It's a pity Feather Industries is gone; they had really neat add-ons.

The shop I found is https://www.vtp.co.nz. They have quite the assortment of parts for AR7's and a serious amount of stuff for Rugers and other manufacturers. It's a fun little shop that you can find some interesting stuff if you are a small caliber shooter. This AR7 is going to be the main pest controller once I get out of the subdivision living area. .22;s are a load of fun on little expense.

The AR-7 has always been a handy little rifle but modern furniture can make it a lot more comfortable to shoot. Those 15-round mags should add to the fun too. Let us know how it runs after a few range trips.

Ok, so after 200 rounds she still runs like a dream. However, one magazine (I bought three used 15 rounders) has a bit of an issue with the feed lips. It feeds but is finicky sporadically. It will be fixed soonest. The 8 round mags work just fine. All the fire control stuff and barrel etc. are still the original so no issues. One thing with the new stock is it is very tight with the butt stock. A bit difficult to adjust. That will also be fixed. It is plastic, so a bit of sanding should fix it. All in all it was a load of fun. Forgot what it is like to just plink away with a .22 with a bunch of rounds. Was a fun day! Wish they would have made an AR7 in a .22 mag!
