Are there any M-1 Garand fanboys in here?

I recently got my hands on a minty one that had been refurbished in the 50s and parked in a gun safe for 60 years. None of the serials match, but all the parts are as new, it came with a good condition bayonet and 500 rounds of ammo in clips. I have a thing for vintage weapons. :)

Got mine in '88 from DCM. To shoot a qualifying match, I drove through a downpour, waded to the clubhouse in about 4" of water, and shot the match in a drizzle. The r/o's used a canoe to get to the target berm and score us. DCM lost my registration info, and had to pull some special strings to get my gun to me. It's an awesome rifle, and the trouble was well worth it.
