I'm just diving into clay shooting and I’m looking for a semi-auto, but I really want to keep my budget under $900. Any thoughts on what I should go for? Should I get something new, or is it better to look for a good used one?
ATI makes a pretty decent one based on the Bellini M-4 military action that is more than reliable enough for sport use. One bit of advice, make sure you have the right piston for the right load and LOTS of grease or oil on the action tube, shooting it dry is asking to be mad! well under 500$. It seems they no longer make the model I have, but they're still out there. https://www.sportsmans.com/shooting...scgVb7uTOVzLK9WLPTb3k4Nauvzw0y1kzAdpWr6XuesKV
I think opting for a quality semi-auto from a reliable brand that’s been well maintained is your way to go, rather than getting a brand-new “budget” model that could compromise on key parts.
