Do priority points roll to adult deer hunts?

Asking this for my 15 years old boy.
He has 4 priority points from adult-child deer hunts. We've applied every year, no draw. He will be 16 soon. Do these roll over to adult deer hunts, or are they lost?

In most states like Colorado or Utah, those youth points roll over to adult draws if you apply in the same category. Don't know about Georgia.

They usually carry over, but some places like Wyoming reset youth separately, so apply as adult-youth transition.

Call the wildlife dept to verify for your state, saves headaches later.

I called Georgia's wildlife dept, and youth points carry over to adult deer hunts if you stay in the same category. Applying for less popular units like Ocmulgee WMA bumps your draw odds. So yeah...

In Georgia, youth deer points don't roll over once your kid hits 16. He's gotta start fresh for adult hunts, but he can still use those points for youth hunts before aging out

Good job. Ocmulgee WMA is a smart pick for better odds. Try early muzzleloader season there for even less competition. You planning to hunt with your son this year?

Yeah, planning a hunt with him this fall. Probably going to put in for Ocmulgee like you suggested, and maybe try the early muzzleloader season.
