Gen 4 barrel for my G17

Has anyone experimented with using a Gen 4 barrel in a Gen 3 Glock 17? How did it run for you?

I've played around with mixing Glock parts a little, and in my experience, it usually works out well. A Gen 4 barrel usually drops right into a Gen 3 G17 and runs smoothly, especially for range sessions. Glock has kept things pretty consistent in that area. That said, I always treat it as a “test it before you trust it” kind of deal. When I swap barrels between generations, I’ll fire a couple hundred rounds of my go-to ammo and check for any strange feeding or ejection issues. Most of the time, there aren’t any
