I'm a metal head, but I like some of the newer stuff like 5 Finger Death Punch, Damien Osgood,
The Amen family, Hungk, etc, but mostly Metallica, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, etc.
I tend to stick to calming music while driving. I'm a Deadhead and listen to their stuff while all the morons in the other cars around me aggravate the heck out of me - something I learned when I commuted into downtown Atlanta to work. Something like "Flight of the Valkyries" would not be calming as I sat in rush hour traffic with 200,000 of my closest friends. All that seems like a lifetime ago now...At home, my neighbors get to enjoy music from the Dead and the classics from the '60s and '70s prior to disco. My son has me listening to Metallica and there are Slash tunes I like after he left Guns N Roses.
