Questions about red dots

Is using a red dot on a 3” carry gun practical? I’m considering the pros and cons of the extra size for daily carry. If you’re in favor, what optic would you suggest?

I thought a red dot on a 3" carry gun was overkill… but after giving it a shot, I’m now a believer. That little extra height hasn’t affected my day-to-day carry and the quicker sight picture has been a big help.

I'd try it myself. I'm not a fan of dots on pistols, but if it works, it works!

I recently got a Canik MC9 Prime and I love it. The shop I got it at has a good selection of red dots and right shortly I am getting one for MC9. After playing with one a bit, it sure helps these old eyes. My next acquisition is going to be a G48 MOS as I am going to love the red dot.
