When it comes to hunting or working outdoors in winter, what safety practices should you focus on especially when using gloves, slings, and dressing in layers?
Gloves can really be a major safety concern. I prefer to wear thin merino liners that I can shoot in if necessary, topped with heavier insulated gloves that I can quickly take off when it’s time to shoot. Trying to operate a trigger with thick gloves is a recipe for disaster, you lose touch with what you’re doing and it’s way too easy to have an ND.
