Shotgun or rifle for hogs

I've tried out both options. So what do you like best for close-range hog hunting?

Depends on the terrain. If I have more than 50 yards of flat terrain between me and my BBQ, bolt action.
Anything closer, semi-auto. Probably my FAL or AR-10

Anything closer, or in brush semi-auto shotgun with bronze slugs, I'm not into wading into dense brush after a hog that might have ten buddies!

When it comes to taking close shots in thick cover, especially under 50yds, I really prefer using a shotgun loaded with slugs or 00 buck. It’s simple and gets the job done. But if there’s even a hint that I might have to take a shot farther out, then I'm definitely using a rifle. A .308 or .30-30 is a great choice because it gives me more options and flexibility.
