I kept it simple and showed the mount and the swing. Then we repeated it over and over and by the end she was hitting more than half her targets and understood what she was doing right and wrong..it seems less instruction and more repetition is the answer sometimes.

Trap is one of those sports where doing it right a hundred times teaches more than any lecture ever will.

That’s usually the breakthrough point, too much coaching clogs the brain, repetition builds the rhythm naturally.

That’s exactly how my uncle taught me trap shooting with his old Remington 1100. It was less talking and more reps

Safety habits are the hard part and once those are locked in, everything else is just structured repetition and muscle memory over time.

Repetition over instruction is underrated as a teaching method. Most beginners drown in tips before they ever build the muscle memory that actually makes things click.
