Perfect carry revolver?

What’s your go-to carry revolver and why do you prefer it? I’d love to hear from those of you who carry wheelguns every day about what has proven most effective in real-world situations.

I enjoy carrying my Smith & Wesson Model 438. Light weight, easy to carry and I can usually hit what I aim at with it. I have 2 holsters for it I use depending on my plans. 1 leather/polymer IWB for conceal carry and 1 leather OWB pancake for quick going outside for a walk or fishing.

Depends on where I'm carrying.
Urban, S@W model 10 stainless chief's special or its Rossi clone. Most likely the clone.
Suburban, Ruger GP-100 with +P 38 in the chamber.
Rural, Same thing, but 6" barrel.
A 44 Ruger, likely a Redhawk, but I like my scoped Super Redhawk and Bisley Blackhawk too.

Location affects caliber and likely targets.

I carry an old 1974 Colt Cobra. Very comfortable you don't realize it's there. Mine has Georgia Arms wadcutters made for short barrels in it. They're a little hotter than the usual wadcutter.

Like Magus, it all depends on where, when and for what. In the winter, with heavy coat: the 2 1/2" 66-1 that I bought new in 1978. Around the yard most of the time: snub nose 317, 8 shot 22 w/alloy cylinder (very light). Out and about in the summer: 38/49/649 Bodyguard.

Korth Mongoose Carry Special, the 2 3/4" barrel model in .357 magnum. Everyone has their own opinion of course, but mine is that this is the finest revolver ever made, with a double-action trigger pull that no other revolver has ever equaled in smoothness and crisp action. And of course I haven't fired every other revolver in the world - but at my age, I've tried quite a number of them......

Sweet G27! I love Glock's. To me, they are a perfect handgun all the way around. You might want to drift that top back in a bit, good insurance.

Here's my EDC when I have to carry a revolver. I do have others, but this is the king of the heap. S&W .357 magnum 686 7 shot. I also carry 2 speed loaders as well. I tote 158 grain JHP's all the way around.

Edit: I guess I already posted in this thread, but some pics now. Cold weather: 2 1/2" 66-1 in a Don Hume OWB W/180 gr. Black Talon. Around the yard: 2" 317, 8 shot (CCI Stinger), alloy frame and cylinder with M-38/49 type hammer. Very light weight. T-shirt weather" Kahr MK9 Micro stainless w/ 147 gr. Black Talon. Back in the 1990's I stocked up on Black Talon in 9, 357, 45 and 10.

My wife carries a 649.

Kel-Tec 380. I returned to to the factory and they polished it and it now feeds beautifully. No charge. I practice with it and am pretty accurate. Light, small, compact and with Cor Ban ammo, has a sweet punch. Gets almost lost in my pockets, so small.

I have heavier possible carry pieces. Glock 21SF .45ACP,

many years, in most situations a S&W j frame in my pocket.. current generation is the ultimate carry replacing a 649..

i do admit to something a bit heavier for certain situations..
