Best 9mm Carry Ammo Recommendations

I've been looking into different 9mm carry ammo options and would love to hear what folks recommend. Anyone had great success with hollow points for self-defense?

I'm a fan of the Critical Defense line in 9mm & 45ACP. Check out Lucky Gunner he seems to have pretty thorough reviews on just about every caliber and brand.

Federal HSTs works in pretty much all calibers other than 380. Always win or place high in online comparisons.

Critical defense is what I have in the 40. Glock, the nine gets JSP of whatever kind. It likes everything but Blazer.

One thing I do recommend on ammo. Research the particular ammo you want to use to your weapon you want to use it in. Sure you can use practically any bullet in your gun (you know what I mean) but look at the ballistics, speed etc. for short barrel guns, medium, long. etc. With the new Canik I just bought I bought a few boxes of Federal HST 124 gr. for it as it is better for short barrel guns more so than longer barrels. The speed drops off in my G19 with its slightly longer barrel!
